What is AOV (Average Order Value)?

Average Order Value (AOV) is the average amount spent per order in a store. It is calculated as: total revenue ÷ number of orders. AOV directly affects revenue impact calculations — a store with a high AOV loses more revenue per abandoned cart than a store with a low AOV.
